On the 19th September I attended a General Meeting of British Country Inns 2 to approve the adoption of new Articles. See the September ShareSoc newsletter for the background to my opposition to the new Articles and the history of this company. It was a brief meeting, so this report will be brief. Only I and two of the directors were present. I asked whether any proxy forms had been rejected (because the Chairman, Martin Sherwood, had previously threatened to do so if they were forms "not issued by the company" (I had sent out some identical ones with a letter urging shareholders to vote).
