As a shareholder in Majestic Wine I decided to try their web site a couple of weeks before today's AGM encouraged by a special shareholder offer, so I ordered a few bottles to make up a half case. The Chilean Malbec (Con Ami Gos) showed cool sophistication, packed with crunchy blackcurrant fruit and hints of spice. Highly recommended. Likewise the Chilean Merlot (120 Santa Rita) was smooth with aromas of strawberry, plum and vanilla.... which built into a stylish finish. The New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc (Ned) was less to my personal taste even though some regard it as offering an exotic nose of smashed, whole passionfruit and freshly squeezed limes.
