ShareSoc is the UK’s premier individual investor organisation
We campaign on issues that matter to individual investors – from strengthening shareholder rights to improving how companies and markets engage with retail shareholders. We represent individual investors in discussions with companies, regulators, and government, working to ensure fair treatment, transparency, and accountability.
Alongside our policy work, we provide news and information, develop practical investor education, host insightful webinars and networking events, and – through SIGnet – support a nationwide community of like-minded investors.
Whether you’re just getting started or managing a substantial portfolio, ShareSoc exists to help you invest with confidence and influence.

The UK’s investor network
SIGnet groups are not investment clubs — no pooled money, no tips, no selling. You make your own decisions, in your own time and in your own way, in the company of serious investors learning together. Members regularly call it the best investment decision they’ve made.
“The meetings are a very pleasant mutual mentoring in a relaxed atmosphere. All levels are accommodated, respected, developed and encouraged.”
ShareSoc is the voice; SIGnet is the community.
- 58 groups and growing — local, national and specialist
- Meet in person or online — each group sets its own format
- All levels welcome — from new investors to seasoned hands
Working Together for Better Markets
ShareSoc is proud to be supported by companies that share our commitment to transparency, good governance, and shareholder engagement. Our corporate supporters help us strengthen the voice of individual investors and promote fairer, more accountable public markets.
