City of London Investment Trust, JPMorgan European Growth and Income, Orbis Global Balanced Fund and Pacific Assets Trust

Shares Spotlight webinars feature presentations from directors of companies explaining their investment propositions followed by an opportunity for you to ask questions. This is your chance to hear first-hand from the directors of companies and how they are going to generate shareholder value.

The following companies will be presenting:

City of London Investment Trust (CYT) is an investment trust with the objective of providing long-term growth in income and capital by harnessing the potential of leading businesses, listed on the London Stock Exchange, and with a bias towards large, international companies. The long-running trust has weathered multiple market cycles since it became an investment trust in 1932, with a 58-year record of dividend growth, making it the investment trust with the longest record of annual increases. The trust’s manager, Job Curtis, who is supported by David Smith, manages the portfolio in a conservative way, focusing on cash-generative businesses able to grow their dividends sustainably. A long history of delivering returns to investors through a disciplined and prudent approach has made the trust a well-known, well-regarded name.

JPMorgan European Growth & Income (JEGI) plc has a distinctive strategy for investing in Europe – with an enhanced dividend policy. The investment managers focus on building a core portfolio of European equities comprising well managed companies with improving prospects and attractive valuations

The Orbis OEIC Global Balanced Fund seeks to balance investment returns and risk of loss using a diversified global portfolio. The Fund targets outperformance of the returns of its Benchmark, 60% MSCI World Index and 40% JP Morgan Global Government Bond Index hedged into Sterling. The Fund was launched in 2014, with its portfolio driven by bottom-up security selection across asset classes.

Pacific Assets Trust (PAC) The aim of the Trust is to achieve long-term capital growth through investment in selected companies in the Asia Pacific region and Indian Subcontinent. Stewart Investors believes the best way to achieve that aim is by investing in high-quality businesses that contribute to, and benefit from, sustainable development. Companies that combine these attributes are particularly well-positioned to generate long-term returns and deliver positive social and environmental outcomes.
