On Friday 14th September I attended the 130th Annual General Meeting of the Henderson Smaller Companies Investment Trust at Janus Henderson’s London offices. With approx. 50 retail shareholders present the Chairman Jamie Cayzer-Colvin started with an introduction of the Board plus the fund manager Neil Hermon. Jamie gave an overview of the year ending 31st May 2018, of which a more in-depth version can be found in the annual report link below: Annual Report 2018 We then moved on to a presentation from fund manager Neil Hermon. Without going into too much detail, Neil felt smaller companies had, and will continue to outperformed larger caps due to the fund managers being able to add value in a sector that is under researched, compared to anything in the FTSE
