Today I visited the offices of City of London Investment Group (CLIG) in Gracechurch Street, City of London, for their Annual General Meeting. Although it was probably the hottest October day since records began, the directors were all smartly dressed and wearing ties, unlike the 5 ordinary shareholders who attended. A difference from many AGMs was that two of the directors attended by video conference and a third via a telephone conference call, but the main directors were present in person. CLIG clearly spend a lot on technology in their business and apparently use video conference many times a day to save on travel costs. The meeting was chaired by Andrew Davison who I had also met recently at Proven VCT (where he is also Chair) and at Downing Distribution
