Yesterday (11/11/2014) I attended the Annual General Meeting of Dunelm in London at the offices of MHP Communications. Last year it was in Lincoln so I thanked the directors for the change, although the time of 9.30 a.m. was not particularly good. It seems they like to move the AGM around, but there were still very few ordinary shareholders present - about half a dozen I would guess. Dunelm is a homeware retailer (soft furnishings etc) mainly from large out of town warehouses. Revenue was £730m last year with profits of £89m. Both have grown steadily in the last few years by a typical retail "roll-out" where you get the formula right and then simply spread it around the country by opening more stores.
