Findel’s (FDL) AGM Report 2013

What a difference a year makes. At last year’s AGM of Findel, one of the UK’s biggest home shopping groups with 1.3m customers, its directors refused to be pinned down on the timing of its long promised turnaround. Its shares, which had been trading over £7 in 2007 were bouncing around the 3p mark and only seemed of interest to penny share punters. The market’s refusal to believe in Findel’s turnaround story last year was highlighted by the fact that its shares actually fell after the 2012 AGM statement even though it reported 8% growth in its sales for its first 16 weeks of the 2012/13 financial year compared with a 1.9% increase at arch rival N Brown.
