Quadrise Fuels International has developed proprietary emulsion fuels that mix water, residual heavy oils, and an emulsifier, to produce MSAR a heavy fuel oil substitute. The MSAR process relies upon work originally done decades ago by BP in the production of its Orimulsion fuel. The company currently has trials of the fuel ongoing with Maersk as fuel for its container ships, and in Saudi Arabia as a feedstock for power generation. Quadrise has been listed for over 10 years now and commercialisation has been, er, slower than originally anticipated. The AGM was held in a nondescript hotel round the back of Victoria station in London.
