On the 22nd July I attended the Annual General Meeting of Templeton Emerging Markets Investment Trust Plc (TEMIT) - 12.00 am in Stationers Hall in the City of London. There were about 100 shareholders present so the room was pretty full. The meeting commenced with a presentation from Mark Mobius, who has been the fund manager of this trust for many years. He is both short and bald but he gave a vigorous and high quality presentation using powerpoint slides. It proved to be a good example of how to do one – not too many words with the graphics backing up what he said.
