The Merchant Taylors Hall is probably one of the more impressive venues where I’ve attended an AGM. The beautiful hall and quart yard garden created an impressive space for the Witan Investment Trust AGM. On arrival coffee and a selection of teas and biscuits and cucumber or lemon water and juice were served to the roughly 100 shareholders and representatives attending. The meeting started at 14:30 prompt with seven out of the eight directors noted present. Harry Henderson, the chairman, kicked off proceedings with a short presentation. He also reminded shareholders of the announcement of his retirement in 2020 and introduced his successor Andrew Ross.
