Save the Date – 22nd May at 3.30p.m: Environmental Reporting – what questions should I be asking?

This blog gives you the latest topical news plus some informal comments on them from ShareSoc’s directors and other contributors. These are the personal comments of the authors and not necessarily the considered views of ShareSoc. The writers may hold shares in the companies mentioned. You can add your own comments on the blog posts, but note that ShareSoc reserves the right to remove or edit comments where they are inappropriate or defamatory.

Are your investments at risk from the “Blue Planet” effect or will it help them prosper? Will the companies you hold be winners or losers as politicians and the public respond to climate change? Most importantly, are the management on top of the material environmental issues for their industry, do they have strategies to respond and are they giving you the information you need? Often you will have to look into and beyond the narrative and risk reporting not just the financials to decide. Today, investors need to know what questions they should be asking and how to find the answers. Indeed many experienced investors think this can also give extra insight into wider aspects of company leadership. Join us for a panel session to hear the latest thinking from experts in environmental reporting and advisory at PwCs More London office on Wednesday 22nd May 2019 at 3.30pm.

Further details of the programme and panellists will follow shortly.

PwC have also asked us to circulate a survey they are running on the future of audit survey? They suggested it would be great to get a strong representation from private shareholders in this debate. The email below explains more about the survey and here is the registration link:

If you have any questions related to the survey, please contact Hilary Eastman at hilary.s.eastman@pwc.com.
